Laboratory Capabilities
Trane, through International Chemtex Corp, maintains a laboratory of fully staffed chemists. Our lab supports the field representatives in:

Water Treatment Services
Consultative Service Visits -Your Trane representative conducts regular plant service visits, during which your systems are thoroughly examined, including complete, on-site analysis of all pertinent system waters. Your representative prepares a comprehensive Service Report that details all observations and recommendations necessary to keep your systems running at peak efficiency.
Regulatory – Trane maintains constant contact, through Chemtex, with government agencies such as EPA, OSHA, FDA and DOT to assure that all products are legally and safely applied.
Feeding and Control Equipment – Trane has purchasing and distribution arrangements with most major manufacturers of chemical feed pumps and microprocessor and web based control systems.
Computerized Cooling System Water Modeling – Trane utilizes sophisticated water modeling software to identify scaling and corrosion tendencies of your make-up water. This helps us identify the correct operating parameters and correct inhibitor technology and dosage.
Safety – At Trane we place a premium on the safety of your personnel and your equipment. Material Safety Data Sheets are provided with each chemical shipment, assuring your employees always have proper handling and safety procedures. Trane can provide in-plant training for safe chemical handling and containment programs are available to protect personnel, equipment and the environment. Legionella risk assessment and training is available as well.
Total Cost Management -Your Trane representative can help you manage and improve your total operational costs. With our knowledge and experience we can help find the optimum balance of costs associated with fuel, water, sewer, equipment life cycle, system process and chemical.
GSA – Trane, through Chemtex, maintains a contract with the General Services Administration. All Federal and many state facilities may take advantage of the pricing structure and convenience this contract affords.
