Tracer SC Plant Control
What is covered: Using a typical Trane project, including standard Trane control drawings and typical mechanical prints, the Tracer SC Central Plant Control course provides the student the opportunity to carry out the tasks necessary to configure, troubleshoot and maintain a central plant. Programs will be written to control chilled water, condenser water and hot water systems within the plant. Students will practice using their new found knowledge in hands on workshops using Trane SC® and BACnet® controllers.
At the end of this course, students are able to:
Identify the major components and functions of central plants including:
-Chilled water systems
-Condenser water systems
-Ice storage systems
-Hot water systems
Assess the appropriate locations and application of valves and sensors
Apply the Tracer SC Chiller Plant Control application
Integrate TGP2 with the Tracer SC Chiller Plant Control application for:
-Making ice/burning ice
-Condenser water setpoint optimization (Tower optimization)
-Cooling tower fan control
-Pump sequencing
-Boiler sequencing
